Origins of the "Brimberry" Name The Brimberry name, the masters of the Brimberry family forum note, has been variously spelled as Brunberg, Brynberg, Brinberg, Branberry and Brumberry. However spelled, most, if not all, Brimberrys are descendents of Christiern Brunberg, who was born in the Swedish province of Halland (south of Gothenburg, across the Kattegat from Denmark, for those who are going to rush to a map) around 1684 and was 30 years old when he arrived in New Sweden, now Wilmington, Delaware. He was an active member of Old Swedes Church, where he was married and is buried. The link between Christiern Brunberg and Brimberry Consulting is provided by five quite remarkable sisters. Feisty, independent, loving, fun, and extremely supportive of and protective of their children and their nieces and nephews--these sisters are important beyond words to us. Naming the company in their honor was an easy decision. |
